Currently the Physician-in-Chief and Distinguished Professor for Translational Research Division at TGen.
He is also Chief Scientific Officer for Scottsdale Healthcare’s Clinical Research Institute; and Medical Director of Research at McKesson Specialty Health, and Scientific Medical Officer for US Oncology Research.
He holds an appointment as Professor of Medicine, Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, AZ.
Dr. Von Hoff has been involved in developing many new anticancer drugs, and has published extensively.
He was appointed to President Bush’s National Cancer Advisory Board from 2004 – 2010, and was the recipient of the 2010 David A. Karnosky Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Tai-Sen Soong, Ph.D
Dr. Soong was the President and CEO of Senhwa for 9 years, which he co-founded in 2012. He has retired from Jan, 2022 and taken the role as consultant. He was the former Head of the Life Science Investment Unit in the Overseas Business Department at CDIB since 1999. Prior to joining CDIB, he was the Managing Director of Imagen Venture Holdings, Singapore.
While at his tenure at National University of Singapore, he successfully launched Singapore China Biotechnology Program to recruit scientists from China to assist biotechnology development in Singapore. He was also one of the first few employees of Taiwan′s Development Center for Biotechnology(DCB). During the period of 1986 -1995, he established an R & D base for commercial application of biotechnology and promoted Taiwan′s biotechnology through product development and technology transfer. He is also founding members and Board Directors of HenKan Pharmaceuticals and Medtech Tronics, Inc.
Dr. Soong received his Ph.D. degree in Biology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
